R.I.P. Michael Jackson. Like my friend said first, "I will always remember where I was when I heard Michael Jackson died, just like 9/11." However, I don't like to think of MJ in the strange state he was in when he died, I would like to remember him as the young, talented little boy who amazed America with his music in the Jackson 5. About a year ago, I watched a documentary on his life and learned so many things about him that I didn't know before-- he is basically a revolutionary legend. He was the first made it acceptable for a black musicians to be on MTV and his albums and music videos broke so many records and won so many awards that is is highly unlikely anyone will ever do it again.
On a more personal level, my family and I will never forget any of his songs and the feeling of joy we were left with after listening to them.
May you find more peace on the other side than you ever did here...

yeah, I remember the MJ during the time when he did Billie Jean, more than the later images of him.
its really sad that we lost someone who is so powerful with his music. totally one of the greatest artist of all time. MJ's music will live forever. :)
I completely agree with you, will never forget the moment when I heard he was dead. Still seems a little surreal. Just grateful to have been alive to enjoy his music.
